23rd Annual Labor Day Tournament

September 1st & 2nd, 2012

Tournament Update. 

Great Competition; Great Fields; Great Tournament Environment

• 3 games guaranteed: 11v11 games – 30-minute halves; 8v8 games – 25-minute halves; U-15 to U-16 35-minute halves
• All games will be officiated by USYSA referees. 3 man referee system for all 11v11 games
• All 11v11 games consist of either 4 or 6 team brackets.  Brackets comprised of 4 teams play 3 games; brackets with 6 teams will consist of two divisions of three teams that play 2 games with 3rd game playoff format i.e. 1st place vs 1st place; 2nd v 2nd and so on.
• All 8v8 games at one location; 11v11 games at adjoining middle school/high school complex and turf field
• Schedules available online one week prior to the tournament and 11v11 results posted immediately after each game
• Individual prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place finishers for U11 and older; U-8 to U-10 receive participation awards
• Free raffle to win entry into next years MSC Labor Day Tournament
• Free coaches clinic & skills competition for all players–Prizes: Philadelphia Union Tickets
• Entry Fee is $455 (11v11) and $395 (8v8). Club discount available for multiple teams

Moorestown trainer Dave Boggs and staff will be running our annual summer soccer camp for boys and girls.

Our mission: To provide quality soccer instruction to all campers in a fun and safe environment in order to help them develop their technique, tactics and love of the game.

Dave Boggs Bio

Dave Boggs coached the Lawrence High Varsity girls soccer team for 16 years. During this span, Boggs has coached 36 All-State players and 2 All-Americans. In 2008 he received the “Award of Honor” by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association for his service and dedication to the student/athletes of our state. Boggs was selected as Mercer County Coach of the Year in 1998 and 2000. At Trenton State College, he was a member of the 1991 NCAA National finalist team. He currently holds his National and Advanced National Diplomas from the National Soccer Coaches Association. Boggs is currently in his 12th year as a member of the New Jersey Olympic Development Program and serves as coach of the Boys Under 13 State Team. Boggs is training the U9 Magic and U9 Lightning in Moorestown this spring.
